WebView Problem on Samsung Galaxy S

Postby reinoslav » Wed Jan 19, 2011 5:24 pm

I'm facing some real strange problems with WebViews on Samsung Galaxy S.

Everytime I load a Web-Page into a WebView, it takes about 10 seconds until the whole web-page is loaded completely. It seems like the Images (from the network) in the WebView aren't loaded asynchonous.

My loadDataWithBaseURL:

webView.loadDataWithBaseURL("http://fake.com", webContentDownloader.getUrlContent(), mimeType, encoding, "http://fake.com");

If I disable networkloads with webView.getSettings().setBlockNetworkLoads(true);, then the WebView loads the HTML-Page fast.

Are there any Settings to tell the WebView, that it should push the HTML-Content in the WebView and after that it should load the images? I found the Setting setLoadsImagesAutomatically, but what does this mean? If the WebView don't loads the images automatically, at which time it reloads the images? What is the difference to setBlockNetworkImage?
