special characters in string

Postby chris.schuette » Tue Jul 14, 2009 11:05 am

Hey,

I am working on an app, where some data is downloaded from a german website. Unfortunately the special characters are not displayed correctly. The string with the data from the website contains ö rather than ö, etc... Is there any way to convert this directly using some String method, or will I have to do this manually with a replace?

Thanks a bunch,

Chris
