Referencing a Variable

Postby UndeniablyRexer » Tue Aug 04, 2009 12:30 am

I realize that this must be a noob question, but for the life of me I cant figure it out nor think of a work around.
Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1.
  2. final ImageButton image = (ImageButton) findViewById(R.id.image);
  3.
  4.
  5.
  6.         new Thread() {
  7.
  8.                 public void run() {
  9.
  10.                         Bitmap bitmap = DownloadImage(setupItemURL(globalProfileData.character.headIcon));
  11.
  12.                         image.setImageBitmap(bitmap);
  13.
  14.                 }
  15.
  16.         }
  17.
  18.
Parsed in 0.031 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

When this executes, it gives an error on line 6. I think, for some reason, it's unable to "see" the ImageButton created on line 1.

Thanks for your help.
