Portrait List with Landscape Dialog - It would be nice!!

Hi Folks,

I have a need for a landscape list which I am happy to say is progressing well and was hoping to generate a Dialog which is displayed in Landscape mode..,

Alas it looks as this is impossible which is a pity. The dialog can be drawn in Portrait but looks a lot better in Landscape. I think since the system has the ability to render in both modes then why not allow views (not just the whole device) to define in which it is to be rendered!!

I know I could have an Activity in Landscape but it really needs access to the context available in the main list.

Am I missing something???
