[Solved] Numeric Keypad in an EditTextPreference

Postby rorist » Sat Nov 28, 2009 3:32 pm

Hello,

I can't find how to use the numeric keyboard like in the Contact application when editing a phone number.

I have an EditText like this:
<EditTextPreference
android:key="port_end"
android:title="@string/preferences_port_end_title"
android:summary="@string/preferences_port_end_summary"
android:defaultValue="1024"
android:inputType="number" />

It's filtering only numeric values as input, but it's using the full keyboard. I did look into the contact apps but didn't find how they do it.

EDIT: Ok that was stupid ! Just replaced inputType="number" by inputType="phone" :-)

Thanks
