Hello everybody,

I'm pretty new with this stuff. I've had program in VB before. I"m purchasing the G1 phone and would love to start programming application. Does anyone of you know where i should start? i have XP Pro. Thank You

Just go off the tutorials on Google's Android site, that's all I did.

How to start an Android :D

EDIT: Get up to speed on some Java if you've not used that before as well.

Do you know if there is a portable android i can take it anywhere with my thumbdrive and continue the coding? Is it possible though? if it's possible i can make a portable one and post the download link on here for people to download.

The android SDK works in almost every directory. The only thing you should do is have Eclipse work from your thumbdrive, set the relative path to the android sdk (if this is allowed) and you are set.
