moving panels

Hi,

im pretty new to android development and i have a question which i cant seem to find any tutorial or help about. Im hoping someone here can point me to the right direction.

Basically id like to make an app which has a minimized panel at the bottom of the screen with a tab (which would be the only thing visible, slightly transparent). Id like the user to be able to pull up this tab, which would basically show/maximise a (semi transparent) panel which contains some buttons/text fields, what ever.

How is this acheived?

I have a Java background and a flas/flex one too..so obviously for me its very easy to do those sort of things with Flash and Flex but i just dont seem to see any examples of what i need for Android.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

you can achieve this with Animations. I suggest reading:
http://developer.android.com/guide/topi ... -animation

Sometime ago I saw a presentation at http://www.parleys.com/. Search there for Filthy Rich Android Client from Romain Guy.
