Is there an Alternative to Droiddraw.org

Postby houba » Sat Apr 25, 2009 8:26 am

Hi everyone,

I've been using droiddraw.org for ages now, and frankly, its been an enormous help, but.. it keeps on crashing my explorer. Is there a software alternative? Something that I can purchase instead? I think an application could be more stable than a java-web application.

Thanks

One thing I have been dreaming about is for someone to come up with a live RAD GUI designer for Android the way Symantec Visual Cafe used to work in the late 90's. Where the UI Editor runs a Java VM and provides exact WYSIWYG rendering.
Optimally I guess a modern incarnation would run Android and the Dalvik VM inside the editor.
I don't think Borland fully reused this live editor technology in JBuilder and where are those ideas today ?
It would be the basis for UI's created dynamically at runtime rather than specified from XML at compile time.
