i am creating an application based on web service, to make some of the api calls i need to have 'IP address of the machine from which the request is sent', Is there anything like IP addres avilable for android mobile phones?

if not how can i get a solution for this?

I would try to access a local apache with the emulator and check than the access logs. There you should find the IP of your emulator
