ImageView not clickable

Postby carrier24sg » Wed Dec 16, 2009 8:13 pm

Hi, I have a "home" - menu on the screen with several imageViews as buttons.

What Im doing is on clicking on the images , i change the contentview to another xml layout, display a few words wait a few seconds, then go back to the original home screen by setting back the contentview to the original xml layout.

However, i've discover that my buttons aren't clickable anymore!I believed that my ImageView variables in my java file aren't hooked to their corresponding ImageViews in the xml file anymore. Does anyone know why is this so?

secondly, is this way of doing this menu correct? I do not know whether I should use separate Activities for each button click because the actions seems fairly trivial.

Thanks, I starting android so plse bear with me if i sound ignorant.

Hmm after reading a post by Mr snowflake,

I've tried to use ViewAnimator. However there is one problem, when pressing on the back 'button' on the keypad of the emulator, even at the index at=0 child, it will not return to the home screen...instead it keeps animating the same screen..

May I know how to solve this problem?
