Image Scaling with Canvas

I've been working on a game that uses all canvas drawing functions to generate the game's mapping. I've been working on the Motorola Droid and it hit me that, because the screen's relative screen resolution and size is higher than most Android devices, I'm wondering the coordinates on the canvas will be automatically rescaled on a smaller screen device? In other words, if an image (a series of lines generated with canvas) on the screen goes from the top to the bottom, will the bottom of the image be cut off on a smaller sized screen? Thanks for responding, this will help me a lot since I don't have another smaller Android device to test this on.
