How to set the colour to the key in the Keyboard of Emulator

Hi All,

I would like to change the color of one key in the keyboard of Emulator.
I am not getting the com.android.internal.R.* in the findViewById function call.

Sample code:

Button bt = (Button) findViewById(com.android.internal.R.id.a)

Please help me in this aspect.

Sorry, you want to programatically change the colour of a hardware key?

Yes, I would like to change the color of the key available in the emulator programatically.
Do you mean the Keyboard viewed in the emulator is equivalent to hardware keyboard?
If the kwyboard is a hardware keyboard, then atleast I want to highlight the specific key in the board.

Please help me in this regard.

Yeah, the keyboard that is displayed on the emulator is (for now at least) equivalent to the hardware keyboard on the device. Maybe that will change on the new update when it reaches us, as I believe there is supposed to be support for an on-screen keyboard.
Sorry I can't help with solving your problem but I assume that the entire keyboard is lit up by one light source (I've not taken too many phones to pieces

) so it might be impossible. As we've got no on-screen keyboard yet I'm sure there must be a way of highlighting a keypress on it when it finally appears
