How to crop images?

Postby hc » Fri Feb 20, 2009 5:06 pm

Is it possible to crop images in Android. I just want to do a simple cropping.

For example, I have 5 stars in a row. I want to scale this 5 stars to 50% of it's size by clipping half of it away
rather than flattening it by scaling.

I know this is possible in iPhone with the following function
UIImage stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth:topCapWidth:

Is there an equivalent function in Android?
