Just use androids built in translucent theme

Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using xml Syntax Highlighting
  1. <activity android:name=".usual.activity.Declaration" android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Translucent.NoTitleBar" />
Parsed in 0.000 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

thats fine
but my requirement is to have light black color as a background of activity so that i could see previous activity behind it.

in this case when i start new activity previous activity contents are mixed up with new so i want to seperate them with a transparent wall

How about using the Dialog theme then?

Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using xml Syntax Highlighting
  1. android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog
Parsed in 0.000 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4
