hide TextView from layout

Postby kl3os » Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:22 am

Hi,

In the java code, I would like to hide a textview and "remove the space" from my layout.
When I use setVisibility on the textview is well hidden but it is still included in the layout.

In flex for example the function to perform it is includeInLayout, do we have something similar in android ?

cheers,
kim

Your problem is that the textview still takes up place in the layout? What parameters are you using in setVisibility? It should be removed from the layout if you use View.GONE.
