Hi. I've been experimenting with simple games and different layouts. For example, I've been trying out a ball which rolls around the screen. Using a simple View with a Canvas object has been fine, I've achieved pretty much what I want. Using a SurfaceView has added complexity without any improvements in speed (in fact it was marginally slower).
However I can't get my ball to look as smooth and professional as the balls in the game 'Teeter' or 'Labyrinth' which come with my phone. Why would you think this is? Are these games compiled using OpenGL, or do they just have better physics for the ball?
Would value any opinions here as I'm not sure where to look for improvements.
