Postby faisalloe » Tue Dec 01, 2009 5:29 am

Hello, i know there is a flipview class which change the view with animation but i want the same functionality and i am using intent, code is below

How can i flip intent

Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1. Intent mainIntent = new Intent(HomeBrowse.this,SearchResults.class); startActivity(mainIntent);
  2.
  3.
Parsed in 0.031 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

I want to flip two views using intent.

I really dont get what you want to achieve and why the hell in that way!?
If you simply want to change views.. like 2 different imageviews.. why dont you
use the visibility states like gone and visible?!
If you use intents to flip something you could also simply use 2 activities each with
a different view.

So long story short.. provide more info of what you try to achieve.. right now it sounds
you want to do something really simple in an super complicated way.

Hi Faisalloe,

As of Android 2.0, you can use overridePendingTransition(oldActivityAnim, newActivityAnim) to get animated transitions between activities. I've posted a tutorial on this site here.

There are some caveats, but it may do what you want.

Hope this helps!
