[SurfaceView] Event not properly catched

Postby viddak » Wed Nov 18, 2009 7:29 am

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with event catching in Surface views. I have the following layout where I have 2 surfaceView subclasses in a ViewSwitcher :

Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using xml Syntax Highlighting
  1.
  2. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
  3.
  4. <FrameLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
  5.
  6.         <ViewSwitcher android:id="@+id/ViewSwitcher01" android:layout_width="fill_parent"
  7.
  8.                 android:layout_height="fill_parent">
  9.
  10.
  11.
  12.                 <org.tres.views.ChoiceView android:id="@+id/choiceview" android:layout_width="fill_parent"
  13.
  14.                         android:layout_height="fill_parent" />
  15.
  16.
  17.
  18.                 <org.tres.views.GameView android:id="@+id/gameview" android:layout_width="fill_parent"
  19.
  20.                         android:layout_height="fill_parent" />
  21.
  22.         </ViewSwitcher>
  23.
  24. </FrameLayout>
  25.
  26.
Parsed in 0.002 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

It's the first child (ChoiceView) which is displayed on screen but I don't know why only the motion event action 0 (keyDown) is catched in the onTouchEvent method. No singleTap and scrolling. I don't know why whereas if I display the second child (GameView), all motionEvent are catched as well.

Did you have the same problem or do you know where I am wrong?

Thank you very much for your help.
