"coorporate layout"?

Hi Guys :D

I've been developing a few GUIs for android...
but I still have an important question left:

is it better to develop the GUI straight for a horizontal/vertical display,
or how can I prevent to make the gui look "ugly" when flipping the orientation?

coz I had some bugs when flipping the orientation ... like: http://www.anddev.org/viewtopic.php?p=16592#16592

it depends of your application, you can lock orientation if necessary, or you must developp a "dimensionnable" GUI who depends of the orientation.

yeah, but especialy this "dimensionable gui" is a huge effort, when u want to make it right =/
and I dont have something like that on J2ME or Blackberry, so I thought there is any best-practises or another way to prevent such a probleme.
