Im just after doing the notepad tutorials on the google coding site, and my next step is to get a server client working. To do this i would like to b able to run the server and client on the same computer and appear in diff applications.
When i run the 2nd one it gets rid of the 1st one.

Could i have both open at the same time??

It looks like only one application is running, but when you press-and-hold the home button you get some kind of alt-tab functionality, in which you will see all your running tasks. So there can be multiple applications(/tasks) running on Android, it's not an iPhone you know ).
