Hi,
can anybody tell me, how I can create a simple Android Widget? Creating an application is not so complicated for me, but I have no idea about adding a widget to my app. Could you help me please, step by step?

What I have to add to the AndroidManifest.xml file, how can I react on button clicks and something like that?!
For me the official Dev Guide and Blog entry is to complicated, sorry.

I solved it, but now, I have a question about EditText objects in Widgets. Is that possible? I tried the following one, but got "Problem loading Widget". If I use a TextView object it works fine. Any idea?!

i think a lot of us will be interested in doing widgets themselfes

Hi clybe, currently it is not possible to use a EditText object in Widgets, sorry.
I hope it will be possible with the next SDK.
