Thanks Droid, I would not know what you mean inflate.

Are you suggesting to delete all in my Maps2 and only use what you pasted above?

Please provide the steps...

Did you test the code above?

inflate as in inflate XML, but I guess thats the wrong term here.
What I meant was:

1) replace your maps2 class with the snippet that I posted, it's basically just an empty mapactivity with your map.xml as contentview
2) Run the code and see if it displays a map in your 2nd tab

I just tested that code and it works fine, if you can get that to work then you can implement all the other stuff that you do in maps2

Update...

so far, I can make the two tabs and the small map2.java file to work....Now I see the small map2.java in tab2.

Now I will replace the small map2.java file with the large map2.java with MyPositionOverlay.java and let you know...

Thanks

THANK YOU, THANK YOU,

I GOT IT TO WORK!!!!!!!!. I guess I did not make any changes in my code, just recreated another project with two tabs and small map first as Droid suggested, then went to 4 tabs with small map, then replaced the small map with the large map/overlay.

All is working fine. I am sooooooooooooo happy.

Now my problem is my large map has current address portion on top with map below, the address is appearing in the tabs area so the text address is over the tabs.

How can I restrict the text address to be under the tabs.

Thanks again for the wonderful trouble shooting.
