Windows 7 64-bit SDK Problems

Postby omniszero » Fri Dec 24, 2010 6:20 am

I am trying to install the SDk from http://www.developer.android.com and it gives me the file
installer_r08-windows.exe
however when I begin the installation it says I must install Java SDK (JRE is not good enough[ha]). I have downloaded and installed both Java SDK and Java JRE from http://www.oracle.com and the installer for the Android SDK refuses to see that the Java SDK is installed.

My only question is why is this?

My computer specs are as follows:
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel i7 1.66 GHz quad Processor
4GB RAM

(Yes, I run on a VAIO. So far, no problem)
Call upon me when you need me.

I'm having the same problem. Maybe it's something to do with the PATH? Let me know if you solve it please.

Try running the installer as administrator.. Just something to try. I didn't have this problem and I'm on 7 64x.
