solution to help me import MXF to iMovie

I'm working on sister's wedding video. I seems can’t import them into iMovie. The video wrapper is MXF, I am not clear what’s that. I just need a solution to help me import MXF to iMovie so that I can do some editing.

I have simple solution on this, just convert your MXF to iMovie liked format such as AIC.mov, it’s recommend widely. I also find a guide to help you.
