Common bugs/problems with the Android SDK the Emulator and the ADT-Plugin.

MAT Error (Memory Analyzing)

Postby multiplydivide » Sun Oct 02, 2011 4:42 pm

I have installed the eclipse memory analyzer and have dumped a few hprof files yet I have been unable to open them. I believe my problem is that the hprof files are in an android specific format and need to be converted to a hprof format readable by MAT, but I have unsuccessful in reformatting the files. I have tried:

hprof-conv (filepath/filename).hprof mat.hprof
which returns
ERROR: expecting 1.0.3

can someone please enlighten me as to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
