How to install an .apk on emulator? (Ubuntu)

Postby nsifboqbftum » Tue Jan 18, 2011 6:18 pm

Hi!

I need to install an .apk on my Android emulator, but I have some problems. I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit and I know that there is a command called adb install to install applications.
But when I type adb in the terminal I get this:
username@username-desktop:~$ adb
No command 'adb' found, did you mean:

However, the command android is working fine and starts up the AVD Manager.

I have added these lines to .bashrc in my folder:
#AndroidDev PATH
export PATH=$PATH:/home/username/android-sdk-linux_x86
export PATH=$PATH:/home/username/android-sdk-linux_x86/platforms/android-7/tools
export PATH=$PATH:/home/username/android-sdk-linux_x86/tools

Please help. :)

try to add something like this
export PATH=$PATH:/home/username/android-sdk-linux_x86/platform-tools
or simply look for "adb" file somewhere in the "android-sdk-linux_x86" folder
