How to Debug Android App in line-to-line Mode?

Postby zugzug » Thu Aug 04, 2011 7:07 pm

Hello, everybody. My Android developing experience less than 2 months at current moment. I has built a lot of projects and examples on Android, but still have a big problem.
The main question is: How to use standart Android built-in tools in Eclipse. I'm asking about debugging block of code of common application. I'd have to learn a DDMS, LogCat using.
How to jump a concrete line in written code, when app just throws a Standart "..com.process....has Stopped Unexpectedly.." in screen of device at the emulator and say nothing to console, or other perspective-windows of Eclipse?
Help, plz, with maybe a list of instruction with screens, or post some articles on these aspect. Thanks, any way.

DDMS provides you line number of the class where it actually crash.

There are lot of information available on Google Android for DDMS and Logcat.

Thanks

DDMS provides you line number of the class where it actually crash.

What you actually mean? Explain, please. Could you give an algorithm how-to-work for DDMS? Or a little bit examples with description.
thanks in advance
