Enable debug mode on device

I just updated to Android 1.6 on my HTC Android device. I am now unable to run my application in debug mode on device. The debug mode is enable in device settings. I am using eclipse to run the application in debug mode directly on my device. Any Idea?

Also is there any way to run Android 1.6 emulator in Landscape orientation?
