Common bugs/problems with the Android SDK the Emulator and the ADT-Plugin.

Emulating Samsung Intercept

Postby J_R » Wed Dec 15, 2010 2:54 pm

I'm finding it really tricky to emulate the samsung intercept screen.

I've got reports that one of my apps is laying out badly for it.

Samsung Intercept has a 240*400 resolution (weird). I've created a custom emulator with a 240*400 screen, and a 120 lcd density. But it just doesn't reproduce the screen layout problems people have been telling me about.

And if I do...

Code: Select all
getWindowManager().getDefaultDisplay().getMetrics(metrics);
screen_height = metrics.heightPixels;

I get 533 not 400. I have a feeling the density is not correct.
This is emulating on 2.2 btw.

Any ideas really welcome!
