Editing audio on a mov file? I’m new to video editing and to youtube. I posted a video recently that was muted due to copyright infringement (which as stupid as it sounds, I didn’t know much about)...

I went to edit the video, planning to reupload it without the song I used, but realized I deleted the Imovie project file and all I have is the mov file. Is there a program that will edit the audio on it?

Is .mov the best format to edit in imovie and upload on Youtube
I have a new Canon camera that uses .mov files. I want to edit the filmclips in Apple Imovie and upload the result on Youtube. Is .mov a good format to do this? Do I need a codec for this? And do i need to convert my videos before uploading for the best result? Any help is much appreciated!

mov editor is right the software you are looking for. This MOV Editor can perfectly edit MOV files without quality loss. With it, you can add personal things such as image, text, audio and special effect to it and output parameters. The Guide below will show you how to edit mov files step by step.

Guide on How to edit mov files

Step 1: Load MOV files to the MOV Video Editor

After you download and install the mov editor Editor, run it. Then click Add Videos icon to load MOV files. You can preview the videos on the right windows.

Step 2: edit .mov files.

Drag the files to the video areas on the timeline, then you can edit them.

MOV file is produced by Apple. Inc, and is also called as QuickTime file. Apart from playing-back digital media files, QuickTime enables users to listen to broadcast and receive them on line. Although MOV files have a little lose in image quality, they're still good to play and transfer.
