[ERROR] DeviceMonitor

Common bugs/problems with the Android SDK the Emulator and the ADT-Plugin.

[ERROR] DeviceMonitor

Postby benny! » Thu Feb 14, 2008 3:36 pm

Hi,

After some struggle with the update of the new
SDK I finally managed it. The sample applications
are working fine so far.

However, I got the following error when closing the
emulator :

[2008-02-14 15:30:26 - DeviceMonitor] Error reading jdwp list: EOF
[2008-02-14 15:30:26 - DeviceMonitor] Connection Failure when starting to monitor device 'emulator-tcp-5555' : device (emulator-tcp-5555) request rejected: no device

Any idea where this comes from ? Atm it is not that
important for me - because everything runs fine -
but I would be interested what causes that error any-
way.

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
benny!

Hello benny!,

I'm not 100% sure, but that stuff is printed to the console, when you close the emulator-window.

Hello neel,

The Java[sup]TM[/sup] Debug Wire Protocol (JDWP) is the protocol used for communication between a debugger and the Java virtual machine (VM) which it debugs (hereafter called the target VM). JDWP is optional; it might not be available in some implementations of the Java(TM) 2 SDK. The existence of JDWP can allow the same debugger to work

* in a different process on the same computer, or
* on a remote compute,
...

So when we close the emulator the JDWP doesn't receive data it was awaiting.
