debugging through eclipse on device fails

Postby supagu » Sat Oct 31, 2009 4:42 am

so i've got a samsung galaxy with usb debugging on,
and it shows up in adb on my computer (but as offline, should this be online?)
i set the manifest to be debuggable then go to run the app:

according to the sdk documantation a dialog should popup showing what device to run it on. I have no virtual devices setup.

any ideas on what might be the problem?

im running eclipse on windows 7.

I have seen several threads on GoogleGroups that may have the solution to the problem..

check both Android Discuss and Android Developers at googlegroups..

Other things to follow up on:
-Is there a separate usb driver for win7 from Samsung?

okay found this:

http://groups.google.com/group/android- ... ba89795037

seems to be the same issue thats in my .log file. Not exactly sure how to do this though:

"mounted the dir as a new Android project from existing source and it
builds and exports without error. "
