I was wondeing if someone could tell me how to enable debugging,

My problem is the emulator exits the application, but it doesnt tell me where the problem was.. how do I enable this..? [something like the Java console that says, line 21 is missing a ";", or Exception on line xyz.. - in these instances I know exactly where to look for problems...] -
