Hello....
While working at home(stand alone) I m able to connect to internet through the emulator.......But not at college....
...Because its behind a proxy...... Or whatever could be the problem..?
.....The <uses-permission> tag is set....The emulator waits for sometime and then displays the message...'The operation has timed out'...
Can someone help ??

I remember when I was at school, everyone was connected to the internet through a local proxy - which filtered out all the stuff we weren't supposed to see.

If you can get the proxy info, then you might be able to do it that way. (If you can get the options screen in IE then that'd be easiest, or just find the IP (whatismyip.org from a college computer) and do a portscan from home to find out what it is.
