So, now that I've purchased an ADP2 device and been developing with it for a month, I find out that by default it does not allow root access without installing custom firmware. When I try to access a file generated by my app using adb pull, I get permission denied. I can't su because "adbd cannot run as root in production builds".
I would really like to access this file without re-flashing the OS. Can it be done?
The instructions provided by HTC for flashing the firmware are void because the phone comes with a bootloader that is the wrong version. This is maddening. I just want access to my own files.
