What started as self-training has turned into a nice project. If you're feeling beta-tester'ish please give 'Wine by the Bar' in the Android Market a go.

The app is meant to allow you to quickly add a note to a wine you're currently tasting. Just scan the barcode, give a rating, and tap in a quick note. When you're trying to recall the wine later just search by the note.

The database behind this app is only lightly populated since it is user generated. If the wine is not found by barcode a new entry can quickly be created with a picture of the label, name, varietal, and year.

Several have used the app to keep track of the beers they're reviewing on their blogs. Beer or wine, give it a go.

Absolutely! Easier said than done. Still, for now just having a way to quickly take note of a tasty wine can be helpful. The full database will come at some point down the road, I hope.

Who said making an AWSOME application was easy?? :p
