someone said my app does not work on the droid

Postby BananoTron » Sun Jan 10, 2010 11:44 am

hey,

i've published one of my apps some months ago on the android market and it had a 4 star rating until now. but recently a consumer gave me a 1 star rating and added the comment that the app doesn't work on the droid.
you can probably imagine that i'm more than eager to find out if this is true. as i don't own a droid, would someone here do me a favour and test this app on a motorola droid?

it can either be downloaded for free here:
http://www.rastaduck.org/tmp/android/index.html

... or from the android market. just search for "Bubble Bazinga".

any help or comment is greatly appreciated.

thx,
hanno

Seems to work on a motorola milestone - not exactly the Droid but very close to it

thx for testing! if i only knew what problem that guy had. i guess there's no way to contact a consumer, right? the user's email address which is shown in the google checkout purchase report looks computer generated.

I just tried your app on a PC browser...looks fun! My friend has a droid, I'll see if we can load it next time I see him.

I also tried it on a milestone and it worked fine for me too.
To be honest, I wouldn't pay 2.99 € for it though, since "Frozen Bubble" is already available for free.

hey,

i'm sure you can find plenty of documentation covering that topic via google or by looking at the sample code in the android sdk. coding games or apps for android isn't as easy as getting some tips and that's it. imho you have to be an experienced java developer and know how to get the info you need on your own (at least when it comes to the basics of an android app).
