We have started a project to allow interoperabitily between applications. This project will define common URI's for data, implement cntent providers and define global settings that all applications can use to make the system seem like one coherent app.

OpenIntents has the first release 0.1.0!!!

While currently this is more like a proof-of-concept alpha release and will only excite hard-core developers , it definitely shows that we are on the right track.

The first feature implemented is "central tagging": Eventually you will be able to tag any content by common labels: For example, you can look for the label "Paris 2005" and receive a list of all pictures, videos, music, contacts, hotels, locations, webpages, ... that you tagged with this label and that reminds you of all the things you did during your vaccation in 2005.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! Also, experienced developers are welcome to join our project!
