Postby JonnySnip3r » Sat May 16, 2009 10:24 pm

Hey guys this is my first application, please let me know what you think. Originally i followed the Notepad Tutorial from Google but i rebuilt it changing alot of the code and gave it a nice new layout.

Tell me what i could add to it or change in order to make it better, Thanks

*Allows the user to create, edit and delete notes
*Nice GUI *New
*Clears TextBox from click of a button (easy if in rush to take notes)
*User prompts EG user saves note, deletes note or clears the textboxs
*Tidy Code

Well, I checked it out in an emulator.
What can I say... it needs more work. Alot more work.

That blue screen is totally unusable. If "topic" of a note is an empty string, you can't select it and can't edit it. And you can easily get empty topic if you click that beautiful red icon. I though it would reject all my changes and get me back to the list. But it just cleared all fields. Then I clicked 'back' and voila, unselectable list item.
The title of 'note editing' activity is 'res/layout/node_edit.xml', which indicates how immature your application are.

Besides, why create another notepad? There is already one in samples, and it fits need of 'noting' pretty well.
