For you playing the "Deflektor Remake"...

Postby Jompe71 » Tue Dec 23, 2008 1:16 pm

Now christmas is coming and I've got some more free time on my hands.
Don't know if you care but the Deflektor Remake v.1.0.2 will feature:

- Difficulty option (HARD, MEDIUM, EASY) which affects battery power time.
- Music loop bug fixed.
- Play using keyboard A,W,S,Z and L keys.
- A scaled 2X version using the entire screen.
Maybe: Scaled 2X version using touchscreen as game controls (only in game mode, not it title, about, options mode etc.).

I've been fooling around with it off and on and really like the updates sofar. Honestly i don't have much to recommend except maybe tweaking the music loop so that it cuts more cleanly till the level ends on easy. a level selector instead of codes would make it a bit more modern aswell.

spoke too soon. i found a few small problems when you overload the power it gives you the same message :
"battery dead. live lost!" instead of "overloaded. life lost" or whatever you'd like to put there. also life instead of live would be a bit more proper.

The other bug i found is when using the back button to exit out of a full screen game, back to menu. when you reenter the game the laser is rendered off to the left side of the screen. double tapping space fixes this though.

If ive been unclear about anything please let me know.

The v1.0.2 is now live.

Fixed in above version.
"battery dead. live lost!" instead of "overloaded. life lost" or whatever you'd like to put there. also life instead of live would be a bit more proper.

Something for the next version.
a level selector instead of codes would make it a bit more modern aswell.

Agree, didn't find that as cruical as the other updates but will also be in the next version. Just got to figure out the UI bit around it though..

Thanks for the valuable input.
