Dungeon Wonders: a RPG game

Postby wataru » Wed Apr 16, 2008 6:11 am

Hi everyone,

Here is my submission. It is a RGP game, without any fancy and
compelling features like GPS or accelometers so I know I won't go that far
(especially missing critical information in submitted document -
judges could stuck on one screen and that might be gameover for me LOL)

I spent like ~1000 hrs for this and this is not a porting of existing game.
In fact this is actually written from scratch without using any other APIs
(other than Android API of course). Oh I want to make sure I mention this,
I borrow all artworks, so none of drawing/artwork are mine
(I created credit page as well as clearly indicating it on the site)

Here is the link to my website. It is missing lots of information still, but
you can see screenshots

Good luck to everyone who submitted it :)

Regards,

T.K.

Hi res,

Thanks for the comment!

I'm going to add more detail to website
once I find more time - now I'm recovering
from the crazy schedules and glad to be
back to *normal* life :)

Wow, 1000 hours
I hope your hard work will pay off TK.
I dont know much about your game scenarios but the GUI is cool.
Your app might have to compete with Parallel Kingdom :P

Hi, minhbui

Thanks for your comment!

It's 4:37 AM here in Toronto, Canada and I'm up again
(I went to bed but I just wake up in the middle of night -
I used to do that a lot for past 5 months)
I guess it will take me little time to get
back to my *normal* life :)

I'm glad you liked the GUI, because that is where I spent
significant amount of time - redesigned bunch of GUI
over and over, adding shortcut toolbar, indicator etc.

Best of luck with your submission "Ceenoo"!
I saw demo on the site and you seemed to put a lot
of effort into your app as well!

I can tell you spent alot of time just by looking at the screens on your site. Definitley very cool and I have alot of respect for the amount of work making an entire game takes from scratch, especially with an API that isn't done. Good luck!

Hi afonseca,

Thank you for your encouraging comment!

Even though contest is over, my desire to make
game myself has not been ceased yet.
(well, I'm taking a short break right now, but will
be back to "coding machine" mode in a week or so)

So please keep an eye on website for updates!
