i gave cashlog a major overhaul and want to let you know about it!

CashLog is an extremely straightforward personal finance management tool.
When starting the application, the user is presented with a logbook-style list of expenses.
Each entry consists of the amount, the group it is assigned to, the date and a description field.
Groups can be created, modified and deleted in the groups screen. When the user selects a group, the logbook list only shows entries assigned to that group.
When creating a new log entry, the selected group is preselected in the drop-down box.
When typing the description field the application makes suggestions based on existing descriptions of other log entries.
After saving a log entry it can be edited or deleted simply by clicking the entry in the list.
When several log entries have been added, the history graph can be used to view expenditure patterns. The user can select the period and history length to show in the graph.
As with the log entries list, the history graph can be filtered to show values for a single group only.
To view the balance the user can select a date range and view a list of totals for each group over that period. A pie chart shows the distribution of expenses of the groups.

CashLog is a free application but it can be upgraded to MoneyLog for a fee.
MoneyLog includes these additional features:
Both income and expenses log entries can be created.
The history graph calculates the balance over both income and expense.
The balance table shows income, expense and balance in three tabs with corresponding pie chart.
Log entries are assigned to an account. Each account keeps track of a balance.
The history graph and log list can be filtered to show entries for the selected account only.
Log entries and reports can be exported to desktop spreadsheet applications.

I have added some new features to CashLog:

* The balance screen now has some nice pie charts to show expense distribution over your groups.

* The history graph now has 2 modes:
- periodic : shows your expenses for each period
- cumulative : shows your expenses changing over time
Its kind of hard to explain, you'd have to see it for yourself
