In any case, knowing that you are taking feedback so seriously, may I also suggest a more integrated / global high score system? As well as psychedelic trance music (this game reminds me, graphically / stylistically, of Osmos, which succeeded in setting that mindset.)
Some other cool ideas would be to make a "shake" feature purchasable in the Pharmacy (shake the android to send the bacteria zooming all over the screen) or a tilt feature, as well. I'm really digging the Pharmacy, btw, if you couldn't guess - I like the balance between getting small but effective powerups in the short-run, or attempting to save for larger global bonuses.
