alzlocate (on the Android market, free) is a system using the GPS to locate an Alzheimer's wanderer. I need to show that it works with a "Watcher" in one state and the "Wanderer" in another.
The social scenario for its use is that "your" grandparents live together, and one is starting to show Alzheimer's wandering symptoms. "you" can help by setting them up with alzlocate on an Android phone, and becoming a "watcher" who they will call to locate the wanderer when he does not come back.
The anonymity is extreme. The system does not know your phone number. (it is hashed using MD5! check http://www.anon-med.com) Install and launch the alzlocate app. Write to a friend in a distant location telling him your phone number (__exactly__ as it appears on the alzlocate launch screen) and ask him to sign on to http://www.alz-locate.com as a watcher. Uninstall the app after a few days! post the result here!
