AnCal - Android Calender Tool

Postby plusminus » Wed May 14, 2008 3:58 pm

Hey guys,

I just found this interesting Calender Tool. Nothing reinvented but all in all it looks really comfortable and has a polished UI.

Unfortunately the developer is not sure if it will be free after all.

Wow that looks nice. I would image that google will also have an app in this arena built around google Calendar. This one looks nice but I don't think it could survive if it wasn't free.

Hi, can I ask a question. See on the 3rd screenshot where he has the date written in the edit text box, How is this done? Is it not an edit text box? I'd like a box like this, but you click on it and it brings up a calendar where you select a date, easy?

Wha? I was serious, the keyboard on the 2nd screen looks great, except that it isn't on the bottom of the screen.

He has the date on a Button, not an EditText. Doesn't have Android a date picker view? If so, you could openup a Dialog and put a DatePickerView as content view of the Dialog.
