Amazed: accelerometer demo game

Postby jasont » Wed Oct 22, 2008 6:52 am

Now you can get your hands on G1, I thought it would be a good time to announce "Amazed". Amazed is an open-sourced accelerometer game written for the apps-for-android project.

The aim is to navigate a white marble through a maze to the exit, signified by the light blue tiles. Make sure you avoid the black "void" or you will die.

Full source can be found hosted on the apps-for-android project site
http://code.google.com/p/apps-for-andro ... unk/Amazed

Enjoy :D
ps, make sure you check out the other open source projects for useful example code.

Looks simple but neat. Maybe you could add some 'special'-tiles like a booster-field, where the ball speeds up or sth...

I'll try that one on my G1 maybe tomorrow :)

Best Regards,

I wanted it to be simple, the idea is to showcase the accelerometer as well as provide source code.

Keep the suggestions coming though ;)

Hi Jason.. nice app.. Sadly i haven't got the g1 as yet. Ill try and test it out with the sensor simulator. Maybe you could put in holes where in the user has to avoid those..

Nice.

1 thing (and I know very off topic, so sorry): Did you have to pay for free apps?

Amazed on Sensor Simulator

Postby gautamsarora » Wed Nov 19, 2008 12:55 am

I tested Amazed on the sensor simulator (some code changes were required to connect it) and it works perfect.

Its fun even on the simulator :)

Great job!
