Porting Android to ARM S3C2410

Postby johnie » Fri Feb 29, 2008 6:31 am

Hi,
I'm new in ARM programming, I need to port Android to ARM S3C2410 development board (i'm using Magic ARM 2410 dev board) for the first step my project.

I've download the android kernel source from this site
http://code.google.com/p/android/downloads/list
and use the toolchain from codesourcery
http://www.codesourcery.com/gnu_toolcha ... nload.html
but still have many problem on it.

Is anyone know how to change the config of the android to suit ARM S3C2410?
And how to download the compiled code into my ARM board?

i'll be very grateful if someone could tell me the porting process step-by-step.

thank you in advance

i feel terribly sorry I should tell this
but I dont think it could work
'cause that MCU is ARMv4
you need another MCU to port Android
good luck

Not sure why you would say that, the kernel supports this controller directly.
Check out the \kernel\arch\arm\mach-s3c2410 directory, there's all you need to get the kernel running.
I have no idea though if the VM requires a later version of the ARM core to run properly.
