Hi to ALL,

I want to port android OS into real Device and my host system is ubuntu 8.10, i followed the below thread

learning_porting_android_to_real_device_step_by_step-t3252.html

i complied the android linux kernel and i got the zImage, This is a First Step.

While going through some forum they are saying that after executing 'make' we will get ramdisk.img, system.img and userdata.img.

Here i am totally confused, Can any one tell me detailed porting procedure STEP-BY-STEP.

I have the board, Tell me one thing what are the file required for porting ? according to me i required 4 img files(zImage,ramdisk,system and userdat).

any suggestions and ideas are highly appriciatable.

Hi plusminus and forum members........

One more thing i forget to update you is, my system is behind proxy and i think this proxy is blocking me when i run/update apt-get giving 407 proxy authentication required.

Pls give me any suggestions abt porting android source to real device ..... i am very much interested in doing porting and patches.

suggestions are highly appreciated.
