Well I have OpenGL ES support for my Game Dev Kit and it uses JOGL. I don't use JOGL for the other 2 but I can use Open GL ES on Android and J2ME. As such the optional API was implemented by me, Sun, and others.

unfortunantly Android is a "asjdlsakjdalksd" platform that aimed to suppress JavaME and Java in general,
it copy-writed java without saying thanks and breaking all compatibility also with standard midlet.

I actually think that Android adds to Java and Oracle/Sun despite that belief.

My games run on Android, J2ME, and J2SE. So to me they are one giant platform.

My software runs on Android, J2ME, Blackberry, Bada, Symbian and most Windows Mobile phones without user interactions. Software install and run as his, without users know why.
The only platform that requred quite a big port was android, so shit.

If you have a J2ME app (jad/jar) and are looking to port to Android - try UpOnTek's conversion services. Along with the converted apk you will receive optimization tips. Give it a try.
