Hardware built for Android?

Postby robzon » Fri Jul 02, 2010 2:55 pm

Hello,

a company I work with wants to create a tablet-like product, which would (obviously) run Android. I tried to Google the topic a little, but I'm kind of lost. How do I make sure that the device will be able to run Android? What kind of hardware is required (besides ARM processor)? What about additional components like accelerometer or touch screens?

I'd be really grateful for any advice on where to read up on this topic, I don't really know where to start my research. All I could find is that Android required at least ARM9 200MHz and 32MB RAM, but this was dated back in 2008 and didn't mention anything beyond this (like touch screens).

Our target is Android 2.2 of course.

Thanks!
